Held at the end of spring each year, the Capital Pride event is a lively celebration of Washington D.C.’s vibrant LGBTQ+ community, featuring a full day of entertainment, music, food, drink and education. This event is family friendly and free and open to the public.
Washington D.C. is the proud founder of the nationwide Black gay pride movement. Attend the event that started it all at Black Pride held during Memorial Day Weekend each year. This celebration attracts more than 50,000 people and is among the largest celebrations of Black pride in the nation.
